Is that dry media typically left behind on the clean side? I have a local disty that happens to rent a host machine and has the media. I have never used it.

I will assume you have to post vac that. If you do, does that stuff eventually screw up your vacuum?

No it gets vacuumed up. I have the Host Liberator it is all self contained. I use an Oreck upright if I need to do any extra vacuuming. A little may stay behind, but it will get taken care of by the next vacuuming. Not enough to clog anything up.

    Some great jobs here guys!

My carpet cleaning machine just broke down and am in the market for a new one.

    What are you all using?

I'm looking for a portable where possible (as we clean a lot of high floor apartments) with a wand (rather than a rotary) for the final finish it provides.

    Thanks!

This was a pure grease pit because it was a unit attached to a Chinese Restaraunt which the chefs lived in. The restaurant kitchen was actually really clean but they must have continually walked in there throughout service.
I tried HWE first with High ph and solvent additive prespray (with cimex agitation) on a small section but it wasn't making a dent. I then tried Releasit Punch in the cimex tank and it broke right through it. After that I HWE. That was with a porty as well before I had a TM.

Here's a video of the Punch cutting through it with Cimex power.

Little bit of wear left down the middle but the client was super happy.

Damn! How many sq. ft was that health club? Do you think it would of been easier and faster to use a Cimex instead of an Orbot on that job? I'm new to this Cimex stuff so that's why I'm asking.

I'm very sure it would have been faster with a Cimex. That being said, there was so much oil with the treadmill machines that I felt like I was getting a better clean using bonnets because of the absorption. If I owned a cimex I would have given it a shot - could have borrowed one from a friend but again felt bonnet cleaning was a better approach for this. I could totally be wrong though.

Nearly 30,000 sq ft for this club, they have two others the same size. Owner was thrilled with the results.

By the way, not that it's relevant to your question - more for anyone would like to know... There wasn't a whole lot of hard work to get this clean. I used releasit basic mixed at 6 ounces per gallon applied it as I was going and went back once for a scrubbing pass. One pass wet, and one pass just scrubbing, used micro fiber bonnets with scrub strips.

Not a nasty carpet but had graphite grease from a love seat and fixed the fiber of the carpet where the round spot was.
