Figured this would be cool to look back on one day.
Others can get ideas for themselves and I can get opinions along the way on how to outfit this build.

So as you've seen already I bought a used E350 Ford Box Van with a 10" box.

    image.jpg

Then I bought a Slide-In truckmount for this build because I've only used PTO machines in times past and really wanted to try this style. It looks alittle more complicated to operate but I like the open access to parts and the ability to pull it out rather easily if needed.
Here it is. EZ 47 Blower. Exhaust Heat Exchanger.

    image.jpg

So now it's on to prep the box for the machine.

PS. Anyone have any advice or links to information on fuel taps?
    Videos or manuals?

Here's the box after it had been sitting in my friends verizon store parking lot for a few years..
He only put 1k miles on it in 5 years doing errands for his cell business.

    image.jpg

Here it is after it cleaned it out and preped the floor for carpet and installed, went up the walls a couple feet too.

Now it's time to layout the tm footprint and figure out the fuel tap.

@212.0 how did you add the door on the side? I need this!

    I need to bad!
I realized having this facing out the back and then having the reel next to it leaves very little room to get up inside.

It would be way better to have it face out the side.

A saw! Lay it out and cut that pig! If you can weld just get angle iron and build a door frame

There's not like supportive struts or studs in the walls that need to stay in place for structural rigidity?

Got any more detailed close up pics of inside the frame or as you cut it out? Curious to see what it looked like.

We just welded the frame and inner frame, hinged it and bolted it to the plywood, not really a structural problem

@Torrey W you will make a mess out of that sweet looking carpet cutting that door in, oh well. Man you are gonna love the box truck, room to work and mix chems, no stinky waste tank, awesome!

Cha chaaaaang!!! Hey 212 have you seen the box trucks with the door on the side that slides up and down like a garage door? Whats the diff between those and a swinging door? Would a sliding door work for a carpet cleaning truck?

Ya those doors are pretty sweet but I think it might take away some wall space on the inside due to the tracks, in the future I want to build fan racks and stuff, with the tracks in the way not sure it would work out well. Part of me has thought about putting barn doors on the back and taking out the roll up just for more wall shelves and stuff. Not to mention all the stuff you can put on the barn doors, like spray bottle racks, spotters, hand tools, booty holder, foam block holders, man so much cool stuff. I just completely talked myself out of rollup doors
