Can I demo this tool for awhile? I've watched this convo for a little while, and sure...I'll give it a shot.

    Joseph,

A quick review of your posting history seems to suggest you are a pretty genuine guy with an openness to innovative ideas. You haven't already expressed a closed minded rejection of the Hot Rod (if I'm wrong about this please let me know).

In other words it seems like I could expect an honest review from you.

There is some cost (to me) involved in doing a loaner program. Essentially I need to assume the cost of the tool, brushes, pads and shipping.

Therefore, it's only practical for me to do a loaner program if I can find 3 other participants whom, like you, would give it an honest review.

I would ship the tool to you and you, in turn, would ship it to the next program participant and so on.

The reviews would need to be posted here on this forum.

Other conditions apply which I will post on the forum prior to start of the program.

I'm not sure that this type of activity is consistent with the mission of this board. Therefore, it needs approval from the proper Fat Cat authorities.

If we don't get approval or 3 other participants from this forum, I would encourage you to participate in one of the other loaner program that we have already established elsewhere.

    Thanks for your interest.

*laughing* Ty, the only thing I expressed a close minded rejection of is your horrible sense of humor...

    Way to derail guys.

Anyhow, I would not suggest getting a super heavy floor scrubber because you have to carry that sh!t up stairs and whatknot. I have super heavy 20'' floor scrubber (175) and I took the 35lb weight out of it (when I discovered it) and now it's great for carpet but still to much for some circuits.

My floor scrubber (w/o the extra weight) weighs about 25 lbs and still (rarely) flips breakers.

CRB are pricey but great from what I have read. On the low end, yea, hit up pawn shops looking for a 17'' or smaller floor scrubber. My 20" is just to much on carpet. For stone its great. I also use it to encap commercial.

As for the brush heads, I forget what material options there are. Give your local distributor a call. You will need to break it in if you buy a new one. I have 1 that I have used for 1.5 years on carpet. Make sure you take it off when not in use to save it from permanently folding. Here is what mine looks like.

@Bill Sabia , I just got a private message from Ty (@212.0 ). He wants to demo the tool but is too embarrassed to ask you himself.

If I gave you a note do you think you could sneak it to him at recess?
